Misc. Ribbon Packs

I have 2 18.5L Rubbermaid Totes overflowing with ribbon! I was wondering if anyone was wanting to buy envies of misc. ribbons. I would post pics of the groups of ribbon and work out how many yards and so on and so forth? I was just wondering how many would be interested first before I went through all the work? We would do lets say enough to fit in a envelope that would be enough for 2 postage stamps so shipping would be $1.50 to the US and $1.10 in Canada. If you are interested please leave a little note in the comments and then I will know if it is worth my time to go through and make up some misc. ribbon groups. If this works out I have mondo fibers too! Please let me know!

Live It Up with Cosmobella

Been awhile since I stopped by to chit chat with you or show you anything. I haven't really been creating anything so really have nothing to show you! Tonight I am up waiting for Tayor as she is at a University Basketball game with her basketball team and coach. How cool is that? They are not expected home until like 11:30! What else does a girl do when you have to wait up? Play with her Bellas!

I know this is a horrible picture. I will try and upload a better one tomorrow. It is so glam too! I am one of those people that really don't like alot of the cards that I make, but I absolutely LOVE this card! I started off buy inking up Cosmobella with some black Staz On and stamping the image on some Prism white cardstock. I colored her in with my Aquarell Watercolor Pencil crayons and used my Auquaflo painter thingy for the first time! How have I gone without it for so long? My designer papers are from the Basic Grey Collection Perhaps. This wasn't a specific card for anything so I thought that the Live It Up sentiment fit it perfectly. That is one of the Studio G stamps from the Michaels $1.50 sets. Those sets are great just for all the little sentiments. I thought that Bella looked so glamorous that I added the 3 jeweled brads from Generations. The background pink cardstock is from Bazzill. Like I said this is one of my favorite cards I have made so far. Bella just makes it so easy!

I don't have anything new to show you today so I will show you one of my favorite scrapbook layouts. I cannot take credit for the design, I got the package from The Memory Workshop .
It is still one of my favorites! This is my daughter and I in 1999 at the Vancouver Zoo. The Cardstock is all Bazzill and the patterned paper is 3 Bugs in a Rug. It is from the Cabana Collection. I love the summery feeling. The chipboard letters are from Scenic Route, I wish I had more. The miscellaneous stickers are also from 3 Bugs in a Rug. The colors were just perfect to match the overalls my daughter was wearing. How cute is the picture with Taylor standing next to the pig that is bigger than she is? I have more layouts that came from the same package, I will post them later for you all to see. This was truly a great summery package from The Memory Workshop.

Mrs. ho, ho, ho!

It is such a beautiful day out, I have been cleaning (vacuuming at 9 am?) and puttering and I have even been stamping! Who wouldn't be with all the great toys I have been accumulating lately! I really need to put it all to work. I have got a cutie for you.
This is the Mrs. I started off by embossing the background with the cuttlebug folder which was a chore as I don't have a cuttlebug yet! I used my good old original Sizzix! I had some fun trying to figure it out but a girls gotta do what a girls gotta do! I love the look so much and I could only afford the embossing folders not the machine! Then I decided to ink up my new Let it Snow set from Inque Boutique . I was kind of hard to color her as she is all mostly white. ( any other color you know you are in trouble!) So I colored her nose and put a little color on her branch arms with my Aquarell Watercolor Pencils and kind of blended it a little bit. I also added a little bit of blue to the bottom of her so it looked like she was sitting on some ice. I also inked up the edges of all the white cardstock for a more frosty feeling with Baby Blue Versacolor. The ribbon is from American Crafts. I topped it all off with 3 snowflake brads from Making Memories. Hope you like!

Inque Boutique is in the House

All I can say is my LSS Urban Trends Scrapbook Co. in Abbotsford rocks! I went in there yesterday just to touch base with the owner, as my kids have put me on a only can buy 2 items diet, and she has got Inque Boutique Stamps! And the best part is they are not that expensive. I was going to buy 2 Bellas but I ended up buying a Fella (for my son) and 2 Inque Boutique sets!

This is the first set that I picked out. Isn't it cute? I thought it would be a good choise with the holidays coming up and all. This set is called Let it Snow. Can you beleive that I got this set of 21 stamps for under $11.00 CAD? That is the best part.

If you have Christmas images you need Christmas saying so I couldn't give up this set too. It is a mini set even though you cannot tell from the pic. It is considerably smaller and cheaper. Under $3.50 CAD. WOW! The bonus part is there are 19 stamps to this set. This set is called Mini-Christmas. I should be set for Christmas stamps for this year but I am sure I can find more.

So, want to know how I managed to 3 items at the store? Ah, this Surfafella is for Trevor! I cannot walk into Urban Trends Scrapbook Co. and not walk out without at least one Bella / Fella. I love them all.

I am off to ink up some of these great new stamps. I hope to have something for you later!

A Quick Card

It has been awhile since I have posted something I have made for you to see. I decided to make a fall card, or is it a Halloween card? I am not so sure. It is a simple card but I a proud that I used some ribbon on it! I have oodles and oodles of ribbon and fibers all over my house. A gurl can never have to much ribbon and fiber! I started off by inking up this cute little pumpkin stamp that I got from Michaels and coloring it in with odd markers. (aux faux paus) I know! I have not had a chance to get any Copics Yet! I then mounted it on this bright orange cardstock. The patterned paper is be KI Memories, I think out of a Halloween Collection. I decided to put it all on the black backgrouck to make the brighter colors stand out. To top it off, to close up the bare space at the bottom just a thin little orange ribbon to match the whole orange in the card. Hope you like it!

EZ Mount!?!

I have been a horrible blogger! It has been 6 days! I have been so busy! So remeber I was hit with that horrible cold, wouldn't you know it, I get it better and BANG everything happens at once! My father drove out from Calgary on Wednesday to spend some time with me and my children and take me out for dinner on October 5th for my birthday! How cool is that? Drive approx. 11 hours to take your daughter out for dinner, above all it was a great steak dinner! Mmmm....Milestones. It meant alot to me as I do not get to see my father as much as I like to as he is in Calgary and I am in Abbotsford (for those of you who don't know, about an hour out of Vancouver.) Dad left Saturday morning, and Mom and her man took me out for my birthday dinner, what did I pick again, steak! (the kiddies were out all weekend) I had some good old adult time all weekend it was great!

It is Thanksgiving weekend up here in Canada so we will be having Thanksgiving Dinner on Monday as I have to share my daughter with her father and he will have her for dinner on Sunday! Mmmm....I love turkey. Dinner will be at moms, so that leaves no mess for me and good eaten all weekend!

Onto some stampin' business! I finally had some down time today after I had picked up Trevor, he was watching a Pokemon movie. I decided that I was getting quite a collection of Bellas and that I should mount them all before if seems to overwhelming to even bother. I hadn't started when I first got them as I did not have any EZ mount. I decided again getting a hot knife as I was told that why waste your money on that when you can use a good pair of scissors and get them all sticky then clean them off. "It works just as good" also "more money to spend on Bellas!" Well that convinced me. Anything more Bellas! So now a couple of my Bellas look like they have gone through a chop shop! What is so EZ about the EZ Mount? If anyone know you can let me know! But hey it does not matter what my Bellas look like it matters what the stamped image looks like to me! If anyone wants to laugh they really don't need to use them!

There is my finished products. I even got some other stamps mounted with the not so EZ mount too! I will eventually do more...but I think that is enough for a bit as I was getting so frustrated and I have to wait for my LSS to get more in!

So because the is Thanksgiving weekend here in Canada and I am thankful to be Canadian I think that is a cause for blog candy! I do not have it ready today, be on the lookout for it tomorrow and think about what you are thankful for!

Mail Call...

Ok let's first of all get this straight, this is 2 weeks of catch up mail! I didn't get this all at once! I am trying to get everything all in order and give everyone credit where credit is due!

So quite a while back I put out a plee on Splitcoaststampers for some newer Stampin Up images as I kind of felt out of the loop not having any new images. This awesome gal Traci (chooch)answered my cry for help and decided to send me some images. She had mentioned that she also had TAC (The Angel Company) images too! I was overjoyed as you know they do not have TAC stamps here in Canada! So I anxiously awaited Traci's package. On one of the rottenest days Traci's package shows up in the mail and wow it was well worth waiting for!

Traci sent me oodles and oodles of stamped images. I will be busy for a long time. She even sent me coloured images. What fun is that? Might I add they are perfect stamped images.

Look at this beautiful card traci sent along with the package! Now what is better than stamped images? Stamps! I got 2 packages of TAC stamps and 4 mini Stampin Up stamps. This packaged totally brightened my day! Of course I had never seen these TAC stamps before either so I cannot wait to start playing with them.

Onto another day! I got back my Summer Tag Swap that I had showed you way back at the beginning of my blogging journey. I participated in this swap with a great group of ladies from a yahoo group called Swapheaven! Here is a pic of all the tags together!

Ok now onto today! Well my birthday is coming up in 4 more days so I have been getting Birthday cards too! I got a whole whack of happy mail today. First off I got a RAK from the Swapheaven group of ribbon and flowers. Well, who can't use ribbon and flowers? Then I got a beautiful birthday card from the penpal group on Splitcoaststampers from Dolores. What a great lady Dolores is, she is the one who got me hooked up on the penpal group!

Isn't this a beautiful card? Dolores is so talented! I love cards that have been cuttlebugged? Is that a word? Then I recieved this great card with a great layered flower on the front from Marcine Luke. I love the navy and yellow ribbon combination!

Last but not least I got this birthday card from Deborah Stevens on Splitcoaststampers also. I do not know if you can see that the circles pop out. The picture does not do this card justice. Wow that was alot of updating. I will not let it get that behind again! Now onto all my thank you's to everyone!

Inking Up Witchybella

Whew...I am back...not with full force yet, but I can at least think. That was an insane week, with a cold that came and knocked me on my butt! I lied in bed and did nothing, thank goodness I have older children that don't need everything done for them!

Now on to the good stuff! I got to get some work done today, nothing motivates you more than the fact that you have swaps due! In fact I got one of my swaps done for Splitcoaststampers . It is called Trick or Treat 6 x 6 Pages Swap. Now how coo is that. The recipe I am doing is Witches Brew and who better to use than Witchybella!

I printed out the recipe on the cardstock first. Then I got to ink up my Witchybella stamp from Stamping Bella for the first time and stamped all my witches. I then colored them all. I used various different markers. I first tried green and purple but then settled with black and purple. I then mounted Witchybella on the orange and onto the yellow cardstock. I added the 4 orange eyelets for a little more embellishments and then mounted it all onto the black for the last of the Halloweeny touch! I wused to hate eyelets and just collect them until I bought my Scrapparatus by Karen Foster, and now I am luvin' eyelets almost as much as I love brads!

Well, I have alot to catch up on, especially with what I have got in the mail, I will take some more pics later and post them, and show you all. I am glad to back.

So So Sick....

Hellooooo...I am so sorry I have not been updating anything! I am so sick! My dearest daughter who will be turning 10 tomorrow, has given me the nastiest cold and on top of that I have the flu too! I have not stamped, binded, or played with anything new. You know you are totally sick when you can't even shop! I even have the new Witchybella and I can't even think straight to play with her! I have got a whole bunch of great stuff in the mail this week and I haven't been able to post it or make thank you cards or anything! I feel horrible! I need to get better.

New Goodies!

I got some new goodies the other day and I purposely went and took pics to show but forgot to pst them. I think it is because I have not been feeling the greatest since then! Taylor (my daughter) seemed to give my her flu. > Good enough explaination for no posts lately? I will hopefully have some stuff to show as I have to justify buying this stuff right?

Ah...my Bind-it-all! I put my deposit down on this a couple months ago and it finally come in! Well when it came in I didn't have the money to pay the rest. Murphy's law right? I am totally excited! I started a project with pics of my niece right away and the next day I was right back at the LSS needing help! I guess that is what happens when you don't read the instructions!

New $1 Michaels stamps! (Up here in Canada they are $1.50) I didn't get them all! I really only picked out the ones I liked. I had no Halloween stamps at all! You can't get any cheaper than that!

The Essential Glue Pad >>> must have been essential all right! I have been waiting for eons for this baby! Like I went to 4 or 5 different stores looking for this every couple of months. Can you believe that? Hot item! It just so happened that I was standing in Urban Trends Scrapbooking when the box came in and I got it that way. Good thing I have no life and can loiter around my LSS!

Of course, if your LSS sold Bellas could you walk out without one? I was going to buy a Fella but I compromised and bought Retailfellabella! I even had to call my poor sick Taylor at home and confer with her on this. It was a toss up between this one and Cruisabella! This one is quite cute though! I also got the sayings "you glow girl" and the "priceless" saying I can't remember the whole thing right now!

Last but not least, our LSS now carries My Favorite Things Stamps too! I didn't know which ones to buy! To many choices...so I settled on the set "Simply Said" with all the sayings for now because I never have the right sayings and now I can say I have a set of My Favorite Things Stamps!

Well I guess I should get of the computer and get some stamping done and show you some work!

Which Scrapbooking Supply are You?

I am a pair of SCISSORS!
You're cutting edge, baby! You cut through life with ease, always keeping others on the edge. You have the power to simplify things by just cutting them out. But scissors beware - you may cut some of the important things out of your life without realizing it, in your need to keep trim!
Leave a comment letting me know what supply you are!

Scrapbooks Etc. - Call for Projects

When: Wednesday, September 26, 2007

Note: Scrapbooks, etc. has a new column, and we’re searching for submissions. The column will be called “Etc.” and it is all about using your scrapbook supplies for home décor and gift ideas…projects other than scrapbook pages. As one of our editors (the fabulous Michelle Rubin) said, “This is about getting your supplies off the page and using them in new ways.”

If you have the April 2006 issue of Scrapbooks, etc, this column will be very similar to the ideas featured in our “Deck the Walls” column…wall art, memo boards, keepsake boxes, etc. (hence the name of the column!). We’d love to see your most creative and unique ideas!

Send photos of your projects to us at submissions@meredith.com, and put “Etc.” in the subject line to ensure your samples make it to the right people. Since I will be managing the article, you can also send a duplicate copy to me at etintexas@yahoo.com. Email submissions must be 500k or less. We will have an ongoing need for this type of project, so please send them at any time.

This column will first appear in the August/September issue. If you’d like more information or would just like to keep up-to-date with Scrapbooks, etc. you can always check out our blog at: scrapbooksetc.blogspot.com

Thanks so much—can’t wait to see your ideas! Erin Terrell, SBE Contributing Editor

Owl's it Goin'?

Finally I have somethin' to show you that I made! Thanks to my SCS Anita Kocourek, otherwise know as anitabestampin! She was kind enough to send me some great stamped imagges from the new SU catalogue as I have no stamps from that catalogue yet! Thanks Anita! That seemed to boost my mojo, which I haven't had alot of lately. I am not sure if it has to do with being bored with the images I have or with my depression or what but everything seems overwhelming. So out came the paper today and it really felt great! Stampin' Therapy!

I love this card. I am not sure at first that I liked it with all the browns but it grew on me. I used SCS sketch #97. I seem to stay very monochromatic with my cards, I am surprised I even used patterned paper. I am trying to push myself more to used it as I have tons of it! I guess it will happen a little at a time!

Stamps: SU (don't know which set)

Markers: Martha Stewart, Whispers

DP: from stash

cardstock: SU, bazzill

Card Sketch Collecter

Among everything else that I collect I happen to collect card sketches. I love them. They are great! I have days that I have no mojo juices flowing, so then I just look around and find a card sketch then tada! I can almost make something that I am proud of! Since I print the sketches of the computer off many websites and blogs I would like to give credit where credit is due. I am sure that the artists that came up with the sketches would appreciate it too! I have come up with a plan, I have devised a little ring of card sketches. I now print them off cut and past them onto cardstock and put them on a binder ring and on the back I can put what blog and/or who the artist is. Also now I have all my card sketches in one spot! They used to be everywhere! Not just a little here and a little there I mean EVERYWHERE! Now too I can also decorate the cards that sketches are on. How crafty is that!

Yellow is just the color I had the most of at the moment. I am also not using totally expensive cardstock either. I got this from the church about a year ago. Now I have all my sketches at my fingertips!

Off to actually make a card!

We've Got a Winner!!!!

I got my DS Trevor to mix up all the names for the comments like papers stew. Then he drew a name after church today. The winner is maandiannie! Congratulations! Please email me at the_queen_of_scrap@telus.net with your snail mail address and I will get your candy mailed out to you! Once again congratulations!

Goodness, I Actually Hit 1000, Bog Candy!

Well look at that...I didn't even notice I passed 1000 hits and I didn't even think that anyone would even read my blog! So even though it is such a small little triumph I thought maybe I could give away a small little blog candy! It is not the greatest and it is all from my stash but hey it is a little something, something to say "thanks for reading." To enter for this candy all you need to do is leave a comment. If you let someone else know about my blog and they leave a comment and mention your name in the comment you will get another chance so the more people you let know about it the more chances you will get to enter. I will keep this open until Sunday and then me and the kids will put all the names in a pot and mix it up like paper stew and they will draw one name.

Up close of ribbon. You will most likely get more ribbon and fiber as I have oodles and oodles of ribbon and fiber.

Up close of Noah's Ark charm.

Ah that picture did not turn out the greatest. That is 2 packages of Zision eyelets. One has shades of pink and one has shades of yellow. There is Christmas stickers (if you win and need more for a swap let me know I have 100 of them!) I hope no one will be upset if I add a little bit of other stuff that I see fit for this bog candy, please if you do let me knw in your comment:)

Good Luck!

I Got the Biggest Happy in the Mail Yesterday!

You know when you have just one of those days! I think yesterday was one of them. I thought I had lost my bank card, then had to go get some money off my mother (thank goodness I have a mother who will do that!) which in turn mad me late to get a coffee at Tim Horton's before my Dr.'s appointment. It is the whole snowball effect! I have not got mail in days as I have been waiting for my business number so I can go on building my business and been a little down on the whole mail issue lately too. So I get home yesterday, mind you I knew this was coming, but not this great of a package, and I had a package from my blogging friend Patsy over at Paper Blessings! Have I told you how much I love her blog? I know I have, but it is great! Also, I have just figured this out, on her Bellas, they are not colored they are PAPER PIECED! Wow! How cool is that? I was wondering how she matched everything so perfectly! Oh yah, onto my package, I have never got a RAK or a Happy in the mail before in my life so of course this was totally exciting even though I knew it was coming! But then I opened it and I will be content until the cows come home! Patsy is great, and I got more than I knew I was getting and it was the awesomeist package to get on a horrible day! Ok ok I would love to get this on any day! So what did I get you ask? I can't just tell you I have to show you!

First, here is the card I got from Patsy! Now do you understand why I love all her work! If you look closely Bella's dress and scrapbook bag are paper pieced! I love the colors of green and purple together!

Second, Patsy sent out some Bellas that I did not have. Who cannot appreciate Bellas? I am so happy too as I have no Fellas and now I have two Fella images. I may just have to oogle over them!
Third, out came many, many images from Stampin' Ups Happy Healing set. I love that set. I love penguins and this one is so cute. I will eventually have to get the set myself but it is hard to come by. Patsy sent me so many images I will busy for a mega long time with this set.

Fourth, check out this mini accordian book, all handmade too! It is perfect for the winter season. I love it! What is right up there with penguins? Snowmen!

And last but not least, check these little paper dolls, there are 2 of them with shirts, shirts and overalls and of course hair. I am so excited, I have never had any of these either! I have a sizzix just not these dies!

Want to know the best part about getting these uber awesome package yesterday? I finally got my stuff sorted around and I can scrap and make cards again! So I guaratee that this fun stuff will not sit unnoticed and neglected.

Thank You so Much Patsy!

Check Out Paper Blessings!

Summer Backyard Fun

As I have mentioned before I am in the middle of changing some stuff around in my house and my craft stuff is everywhere. Hopefully I will be able to get some scrapping done tomorrow...I think I am going into withdrawals. I have been getting the urge to do some 12 x 12 pages lately and right at the time when nothing is accessable! Since I have nothing new I will share one of my favorite layouts with you tonight! I got it from a kit from The Memory Workshop and I added some extras. It was my first experience with Crate Paper and I will tell you now I was not impressed with the looks when I first saw the paper. When I got to working with it I was loving it. These particular papers are from the Seaweed Collection. The Stickers are Sandylion and the Cardstock is Bazzill.

How fun does this look? This is DS Trevor and friend Colby in my friends backyard playing in the sandbox in Summer 2006. The 3D Tonka Stickers matched the pictures so well. Don't you just love the Crate paper?

This is the second page to the layout. They were having a blast that day. Once again that still is Crate Paper, but these were punch outs. I think the colors from the Seaweed Collection suited the pictures great too. These 2 layouts are a couple of my favorite! Let me know what you think!

How to Really Love a Child

I haven't got any cards right now as I am in the middle of moving all my craft/stamp stuff around for my new room. ( I cannot share a room with my 10 year old anymore!) So I thought I would share this little letter I found while I was going through all my stuff.

How to Really Love a Child
Be there, say yes as often as possible. Let
them bang on pots and pans. If they're
crabby, put them in water. If they're
unlovable, love yourself. Realize how
important it is to be a child. Go to a ,ovie
theatre in pajamas. Read books out
loud with joy. Invent pleasures together.
Remember how really small they are.
Giggle alot. Surprise them. Say no when
necessary. Teach feelings. Heal your own
inner child. Learn about parenting. Hug
trees together. Make loving safe. Bake a
cake and eat it with no hands. Go find
elephants and kiss them. Plan to build a
rocketship. Imagine yourself magic. Make
lots of forts with blankets. Let your angel
fly. Reveal your own dreams. Search out
the positive. Keep the gleam in your eye.
Mail letters to God. Encourage silly. Plant
licorice in your garden. Open up. Stop
yelling. Express your love. A lot. Speak
kindly. Paint their tennis shoes. Handle
with caring.
Children are Miraculous!

The "Little" Things

I so have to share this with you, I was over at Diaries of a Stamper which I am at least once a day and Kelly has this beautiful poem called The 'Little' Things posted on her blog. It made me bawl my eyes out and I am not really a sappy emotional person. I would encourage you all to go check it out. Once again Diaries of a Stamper, go on over and say "hi" to Kelly.

9/11

Yes, I know I am from Canada but I can still remember the exact moment I heard the news. I was horrified. I went home and I wanted my children with me. My children are to young to even remember the attacks but I will tell you now I have explained to them about it and they understand that "Freedom is not Free". My brother, their uncle stands up for Canada and is in the Air Force.

Please...take time out of today to remember all the people lost in the attacks. Then, make sure you hug your children, your husband, mom, dad, sister, brother anyone that you can.

One that note, over at Gina K Designs 10% of all purchases will go to the September 11, 2001Children's Fund. Special sale itemsthroughout the storebut only today!Look around and find deals on select stamp cleaners, punches, rubber stamps,DVDs and more! And it all makes a difference!

Pink and Blue Lately!?!?!?

Finally I made another card! It is not like I have been busy lately, but weekends just seem to go so fast. I started a different but have not finished that one yet either. Then I started Coloring this Get Wella Bella. I have no idea what was going through my head when I started. But I was pretty happy to be coloring with felts that I totally forgot I had. They are my Whispers felts by Sugarloaf. I have not heard anyone talking about them but I bought some awhile back and they seem to work great for what I need them for until I get some Copic Markers or SU Markers or something. For this card I used a sketch that I found on Card Inspired by Maria Bell. I couldn't tell you the exact post as I think I found it in the archives somewhere. I love that blog, Maria always has great sketches on her blog.

Late Weekend Sketch From Scrap Dribbles

First of I want to share a pic of the kids on there first FULL day back to school!

It is not the best but there they are. Totally not very excited....I should have taken a pic of me, I was the one hopping up and down with joy!

On to the sketch. On August 29, 2007, Rae over at Scrap Dribbles posted her weekend sketch. This is the first sketch over at Scrap Dribbles that I have ever tried. So I can honestly say I love the sketch, hate me card. I had so many hopes, ideas and dreams for my card and everything went wrong so I will post the card that came out and I will be off to do another one with the same sketch. If you want to check out the sketch you can check it out here. This is what I came up with. I had to put flowers over my stamp because for some reason my ink went all weird which happens sometimes on my acrylic stamps. Anyone have an answer for that? So I had to make a quick save. That was only that start of my problems!

Happy Stamping!

Great Deal @ Michaels

>With the kids back in school today I decided to wonder around Michaels by myself because it had been so long since I could do it by myself! I always cruise the clearance section cause there could be something new in there even though usually it is a big mess. I came upon the greatest deal! Disney Brass stencils! I don't know if any of you still dry emboss but I love it and these stencils are adorable. They are regular $4.99 on for $1.50. I thought that was a steal so I picked up one of each that were there. Wish there were more!

Ooops there is a glare but you get the idea. So how cute are those? So I wondered farther up to the till and found out that another set of Studio G clear stamps had come out too. So I sifted through those too. I had all morning I thought the kids were in school. I ended up with 7 packages of those. 1 ended up being a double which will end up being blog candy at a later date. So check out my score.

Well, I am pretty proud of myself. I walked out of Michaels only spending $7.50 and thinking that I grabbed a great stash and lots to play with. Especially with the kids having a full day back at school tomorrow!

Paper Blessings {All Time Favorite}

First of all....woohoo the kids are finally back in school! Wow it has been a long summer for our family, I bet they are glad too. Long awaited to see their friends and make new ones. Not to mention I get to stamp and scrap more:)

I cannot believe that I have not talked about this sooner, about one of my favorite blogs! Most of us have blogs that we visit regularly or everyday. This blog I visit everday sometimes more. It is called Paper Blessings. Have you ever checked it out? I would totally encourage you too. Patsy is my inspiration, like my stamping guru. I love all her work, I wish I could hound her all day long asking her about all her techniques, tips and secrets! So I think if I study it long enough I will catch on. Also if you catch Patsy on a good day she has awesome Blog candy and if I say so myself her husband has some great ideas too!

My Last Goodbye to Summer

Wow 2 days since I have posted! Not like Ihave been busy. I have been working on some swaps for a groups on Splitcoaststampers which includes a lot of coloring by me, well it seems like it anyhow. But my good luck my blender pen ran out this morning and a can't finishe the images and get them packaged up to go. Good thing they are not due for a bit! I guess this week I will have to go on a venture to find a new blender pen! Anyone have any ideas let me know...my one that ran out was Stampin' Up but I need one ASAP! So because I couldn't work on my swap this morning I started playing around with some scraps. I was using some of my summer colors. This is what I came up with.

I guess I am still in the summer spirit. This was the first time I had inked up my summer sandals from Clear Dollar Stamps. If you haven't checked out their stamps you really should they are really cute.

Remembering Great Grampa

How many pages have I accomplished for Great Gramma do you ask? A whole 2 pages! I am so lazy...I am wondering where all my motivation has gone? or maybe my mojo is gone? Great right when I need it! One of the pages is really sentimental so it counts as more. It is from back in 2001 or 2002 when DS Great Grampa was still alive and he got to spend time with him. Mind you for some reason the scan did not turn out the best!

The journaling reads: How lucky is trevor to have met his Great Grampa! Many children don't get that chance and here is Trevor spending quality time being just like Great Grampa!

PP: Crate Paper

Twill: Bobbin Ribbon from Michaels

Brads: Making Memories

My second layout is a layout of Treovr with his Great Gramma Summer of 2006 (i think)! Trevor loved Thomas the Tank Engine and he could tell you all the engines names and he made sure that you knew them all too. Here he is Teaching his Great Gramma Thomas.

I can't remember all the products used for this layout as I started this layout quite awhile ago and finished it tonight. So I kind of cheated. I totally love the Colorbok letters and my Xyron, how easy is it to do a title? No journaling on this one as the title says it all!

Off to do some challenges tonight!
